This article explores the impact of body image disturbances, perfectionism, emotional dysregulation, and trauma on the development of eating disorders. Societal pressures, such as the thin ideal and media influence, exacerbate these conditions. Effective treatment approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, family-based therapy, and integrative methods, are necessary for recovery. Addressing these factors can reduce the prevalence of eating disorders and promote body positivity.
